New Romney, Littlestone & Greatstone

"A collection of stunning beaches and a welcoming high street"

Littlestone is a small coastal village close to New Romney in Kent. It was established in the 1880s by Sir Robert Perks as a resort for the gentry, at the point of the local lifeboat station. Immensely popular as a coastal retreat for both local families and especially those in London due to its relaxed feeling.

The beaches are vast and stretch all the way along to Dungeness (the Lands End of the South East). Neighbouring towns of New Romney, Lydd and St Marys Bay are all a short drive away and offer further amenities. The adjacent New Romney offers a bustling High Street with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants and a supermarket.

This holiday home is situated in a superb location with Littlestone Beach  being a few hundred meters away and offering great space for sunbathing and picnics plus providing cycling and walking paths that can take you all the way to Dungeness (designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and very popular with artists and photographers) to the west and Hythe/Folkestone to the east.

The superb Littlestone Golf Course (that once hosted the British Ladies Open) is on the doorstep offering the opportunity to play a round against the backdrop of the English Channel. A visit to the nearby Warren Country park is a chance to enjoy 11 hectares of dune grassland and ponds rich in wildlife. If you are looking for a scenic tour of the coast sit back and enjoy the unique scenery with a trip on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway.
